Medical freshers £50 supermarket shop giveaway

  1. The promoter of this prize draw is The Medical Defence Union Limited (MDU) of One Canada Square, London, United Kingdom, E14 5GS.
  2. The prize draw is open to medical freshers starting a UK medical degree in the Autumn of 2024.
  3. In order to enter the prize draw you must join the MDU as a student member, student membership is free of charge.
  4. All entries to the prize draw must be submitted via MDU freshers prize draw.
  5. The opening date for entries is 00:01 on 15 August 2024. The closing date of the prize is 23:59 30 November 2024. Entries received after this time will not be considered.
  6. The MDU accepts no responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault of any kind. The MDU accepts no responsibility for any purchases or memberships which are not completed for any reason.
  7. One winner will be chosen by random draw, performed by a computer process on 1 October 2024, 1 November 2024 and 1 December 2024.
  8. The winner(s) will receive a £50 e-gift for either Aldi's, Lidl's Sainsbury's or Tesco's for the freshers supermarket prize draw.
  9. The winner(s) will be notified by email or telephone (using details provided at entry) within two weeks of the relevant draw date and must provide an email address to claim their prize. If a winner does not respond to the MDU within one month of being notified by the MDU, then the winner's prize will be forfeited and the MDU will be entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process described above.
  10. The prize(s) will be sent to the winner by email within one week of being notified their win.
  11. The prize for each winner is non-exchangeable, non transferable and no cash alternative is offered.
  12. The MDU reserves the right to replace the prize with an alternative prize of equal or high value if circumstances beyond the MDU's control makes it necessary to do so.
  13. The decision of the MDU regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.
  14. The MDU must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award too place. To comply with the obligation the MDU will send the surname and county of the prize winners and, if applicable copies of their winning entries, to anyone who emails marketing@themdu.com or writes to The marketing team, The Medical Defence Union Limited (MDU), One Canada Square, London, United Kingdom, E14 5GS (enclosing a self-addressed envelope) within one month of the closing date stated in condition 5 above. If you object to any or all of your surname, county and winning entry being published or made available, please contact the MDU at marketing@themdu.com. In such circumstances, the MDU must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
  15. Participants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions upon entry. The MDU reserves the right to refuse entry or refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.
  16. The MDU reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the promotion where it becomes necessary to do so.
  17. Insofar as is permitted by law, the MDU, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the MDU, its agents or distributors of that of their employees. Your statutory right are not affected.
  18. Personal data supplied by you doing this promotion will only be processed as set out in the MDU privacy policy. See also condition 14 above in relation to the announcement of winners.
  19. These terms and conditions and this promotion are governed by English law. If any entrants to this promotion wish to take court proceedings, then they must do this win the courts of the United Kingdom.
