- The promoter of this prize draw is The Medical Defence Union Limited (MDU) of One Canada Square, London, United Kingdom, E14 5GS.
- The prize draw is open to MDU postgraduate members. It is free to enter and no purchase is necessary.
- All entries must be submitted via the online MDU wellbeing, sleep and medical error survey. Only one entry per person is permitted.
- The prize draw is open from 17:00 on 17 January 2025 and closes at 17:00 on 31 January 2025. Entries received after this will not be considered and the MDU accepts no responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault of any kind.
- The winner will receive a £100 John Lewis e-gift card. They will be chosen by random draw performed by a computer process on 3 February 2025 and notified by email or telephone (using details provided at entry) within two days of the draw date.
- If the winner does not respond to the MDU within one week of being notified, then the winner's prize will be forfeited and the MDU will be entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process described above.
- The prize will be sent to the winner by email within one week of being notified. The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered.
- The MDU reserves the right to replace the prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond the MDU’s control makes it necessary to do so.
- The decision of the MDU regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.
- The MDU must either publish or make available information that indicates a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation, the MDU will send the surname of the prize winner to anyone who emails marketing@themdu.com or writes to Marketing team, The Medical Defence Union Limited (MDU), One Canada Square, London, United Kingdom, E14 5GS (enclosing a self-addressed envelope) within one month of the closing date.
- If you object to your surname being published or made available, please contact the MDU at marketing@themdu.com. In such circumstances, the MDU must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
- Participants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions upon entry. The MDU reserves the right to refuse entry or refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.
- The MDU reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the promotion if it becomes necessary to do so.
- Insofar as is permitted by law, the MDU, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the MDU, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.

- These terms and conditions and this promotion are governed by English law. If any participants of this promotion wish to take court proceedings, they must do this within the courts in the United Kingdom.
